We are hiring for an Apprentice Engineer at Branston Ltd!
This is a fantastic opportunity to kick start your career in an Engineering role, with a well-established growing business. We will provide you with the training, mentoring and hands on experience to become a competent Engineer, with both electrical and mechanical bias.
At Branston, potatoes are our business. We supply fresh and prepared products to some of the UK’s leading retailers. As part of our Engineering team, you’ll play a key role in keeping our production machinery running efficiently, while developing the skills to become a multi-skilled engineer with both electrical and mechanical experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Attend college 3 days per week and successfully complete all apprenticeship modules
* Support the Engineering team with routine and planned maintenance
* Carry out preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
* Assist with fault finding and basic repairs
* Maintain high health and safety standards at all times
* Help manage engineering stores, ensuring parts are well-stocked
* Accurately record maintenance activities and daily tasks
No two days are the same—you’ll gain hands-on experience working with a wide range of equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
What we are looking for:
* A genuine interest in engineering and a willingness to learn
* Strong attention to detail and logical problem-solving skills
* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
* A driving licence and access to your own transport
* National 5 (or equivalent) in Maths and English preferred, but not essential
