An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Hernia repair team as a Sales Territory Manager to cover Scotland.
As a Sales Territory Manager, you will join our dynamic and progressive team to focus on expanding an existing customer base and introducing new opportunities across the region. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing sales within the territory with the goal of becoming the leading supplier of Advanced Repair & Reconstruction solutions.

BD Interventional (BDI) focuses on leading innovation and developing life-enhancing devices in surgical, endovascular, urological, and critical care interventions to improve treatment of high-burden diseases and enable surgical and interventional procedures.
Main Responsibilities
The role involves supporting existing and acquiring new customers throughout the territory, taking necessary actions to meet sales targets, including:
1. Executing sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
2. Conducting all sales activities from pain identification, solution provision, product positioning, trials, contract negotiations, to demand generation.
3. Representing BD at congresses and events at national and international levels.
4. Providing field support and education to physicians and clinical professionals.
5. Supporting local and EU Marketing Manager training and coaching activities.
6. Analyzing market trends to enable penetration and growth.
7. Driving Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement to improve surgical procedures and patient outcomes.
8. Managing CRM to reflect territory management.
9. Handling tenders and contracts.
About You
The ideal candidate should have medical sales experience, preferably within general theatre, though this is not essential. A Degree or Diploma in a clinical field is preferred, along with a valid driver’s license. You should demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills, understanding of needs/analysis/solution selling, and contract administration. A self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude and creative thinking ability is essential.
