Join to apply for the Specialist Biomedical Scientist role at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust.
The Infection Science Department at Royal Stoke University Hospital provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic and clinical services for two acute Hospitals, local GUM clinics and a wide range of community based health providers. The Bacteriology department is equipped with Vitek2, UF-5000i, MS PRIME, BACT/ALERT VIRTUO, BDMax and WASPLab. The hours of work for this post will be 37.5 hours per week over a 24/7 period. Applicants will be expected to have significant bacteriology experience, preferably in an NHS Lab.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a team of virology and bacteriology staff based at the Royal Stoke University Hospital site.
* Join the Infection Science Department and contribute to diagnostic and clinical services for two acute Hospitals, local GUM clinics and a wide range of community based health providers.
* Be a strong team player with a positive attitude to change and demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills.
Qualifications
* HCPC registered Specialist Biomedical Scientist
* Extensive bacteriology experience, preferably in an NHS Laboratory
* Strong teamwork skills and ability to work in a 24/7 service environment
