The Role
We're looking for a skilled and motivated and qualified heavy plant fitter to join our long-established demolition company with its own equipment fleet. This role would suit a heavy plant fitter with experience looking for a stable job within a family run business offering potential overtime opportunities and a positive work life balance. Based in Salford but working on contracts nationally.
As a heavy plant fitter, you'll play a key role in keeping our fleet ready and working both in the depot and on site.
What You'll Be Doing
* Maintaining, Installing and repairing plant equipment and machinery such as 360 excavators and crushers
* Be fully conversant with excavator hydraulic pressure systems
* A sound knowledge of hydraulic demolition attachments
* A sound knowledge of large diesel engines with PDF and AdBlue systems
* Working with all equipment required for a large demolition contractor
* Carrying out inspections and fault finding
* Accurately updating service records and ensuring compliance with safety standards
* Attending sites to carry out repairs and maintenance
About You
We're looking for someone with strong technical expertise and a proactive approach, including:
* Proven experience as a heavy plant fitter
* Solid, up-to-date knowledge of heavy plant machinery maintenance
* A full, valid driving licence
