Lincolnshire Talking Therapies is an IAPT site with vacancies for Trainee CBT therapists based in Lincoln, Louth, Boston, and Gainsborough. Candidates will be asked for their preference at interview.
The successful applicants will work in the Talking Therapies service while attending Nottingham University for 2 days per week to study for a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Trainees will provide treatment for individuals managing common mental health problems using NICE-recommended protocols while studying to attain their CBT qualification. They will be required to sign a contract to work for the Trust for 2 years after qualifying.
Candidates must be available to start the course in October 2025 and be willing to travel to the University of Nottingham as needed.
Requirements
Please note that you must hold a degree and a professional qualification such as Clinical Psychologist, Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, or Psychological Therapist, or be able to demonstrate meeting the Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes (KSA) requirements of the BABCP. * Successfully complete and pass the Postgraduate Diploma in CBT.
* Assess new referrals and adhere to referral protocols; signpost clients to other services as needed.
* Formulate, implement, and evaluate therapy programs.
* Maintain activity and clinical session targets to ensure accessible treatment.
* Complete data collection and keep coherent clinical records.
* Collaborate with team members for step-up and step-down care arrangements.
* Conduct psychological assessments of referred patients.
* Protect client confidentiality at all times.
* Stay updated with advances in CBT and psychological therapies.
* Set and review professional objectives regularly with senior therapists.
* Attend supervision and participate in performance reviews.
