Position : New Product Innovation Technologist (NPI Technologist) Location : Glasgow Head Office Job Type : Full time, 29.5 hours per week permanent Days : Monday to Friday (08.30-5pm Monday - Thursday, 08.30 - 4.30 Friday). Purpose of Role: The NPI Technologist is responsible for all processes of bringing new products (food and non-food) to market and for post-launch support. The role holder will be the key contact for issues concerning products being developed including their supply chains and will offer systems support to NPI stakeholders. The role-holder will keep all relevant stakeholders informed of updates and results, making sure products are successfully launched on schedule. Key Responsibilities: NPI process and platform supervision • Responsible for the planning, organising and overseeing of the NPI process and projects ensuring all the requirements including supplier approval, specification approval, costings, ERP set up for a successful launch are completed on time • Supervise several projects at once • Manage the NPI platform, project initiation and task allocation management • Propose improvements to the current NPI process • Supporting the Marketing team and other business units to deliver on strategy outputs • Support in customer visits and tastings • Manage the process for product specification changes. • Maintain customer portals NPI Technical Support and Training • Supporting NPI stakeholders in platform access and navigation • Supporting label management and communication with third-party certifications • Participate in 3rd party certification audits • Support QA department with Internal Audits Person Specification Experience Essential • Project management • Stage gate process experience • Engaging with multiple stakeholders both internal and external • Working to strict deadlines • Work on own initiative Desirable: • Food Safety & Food Hygiene training • Understanding of food safety, legality compliance • Experience of interpreting specifications Skills / Knowledge: Essential: • Able to work competently the NPI processes and deliver on set launch targets • Proven ability to supervise multiple projects • Excellent process and system management • Excellent analytical skills • Competent with all standard IT software / system Personal Attributes: • Attention to detail • A logical and investigative mind • Good interpersonal skills • Teamworking skills • Good written and verbal communication skills • Problem-solving skills • Enthusiastic about New Product Innovation and coffee Application If this sounds like you, then you could be the right fit for us!
