Purpose of the Role
Join the Site Maintenance team as the Maintenance Technician where you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving equipment reliability enabling targets in output and quality to be met whilst working within Site Planning’s Policies and the safety framework. You will play a pivotal role in driving Bentley forward to deliver its goals and objectives on a daily basis and ensuring the Health and Safety compliance of all legislation. Reporting into the Maintenance Functional Manager, your main responsibilities include;
* Responding to breakdowns in a timely manner and completes all documentation, prioritises work to ensure customer satisfaction, seeks quick counter measures to all faults, works within a multi-skilled maintenance Team working on electrical and mechanical systems across the business and informs the Co-ordinator of any identified issues-problems.
* Supports and Works in line with the FAT and IAT project processes with regards to installation, commissioning and training on new Infrastructure and Equipment.
* Always works to safe practices as set out in the safety framework reporting any accidents or near misses to the relevant supervision. Review and understand all Risk Assessments related their role. Ensures any Maintenance activity does not place any other Colleague at risk from their actions or omissions.
* Actively takes part in continuous improvement activities, proactively seeks opportunities to improve processes and working techniques. Assist Co-ordinator and Maintenance Engineering team with driving forward major group improvements.
* Countermeasures concerns using practical problem solving techniques inform Co-ordinator of any identified problems. Demonstrates a logical path to all breakdown and problems and updates any related documentation for future communication.
About the Team
Site Maintenance is responsible for all Site infrastructure and facilities including Electrical distribution, Gas services, Steam generation and distribution, Compressed air, Water and waste water management, Legislative compliance and maintenance we are also responsible for off- site facilities and warehouses, Site Maintenance sits within the Production Planning umbrella which is responsible for all new Facility upgrades and future planning. This position will offer abundance of training and development. We operate on a two and three shift working pattern rotating on a weekly basis.
About you – Skills and Experience
* Competent in Mechanical or Electrical repair and diagnostic fault finding
* Demonstrates a logical path to all breakdowns and problems
* Stands in for Co-ordinator during absence
* Specialised skills in the role of competent person in PTW (Isolation of Plant & Equipment)
* Able to respond and prioritise Legislative insurance related activities
* Knowledge of Site infrastructure (Gas, Water, Air, Electric)
* Apprentice qualified with a recognised body C&G level or NVQ accredited
* Attended and passed specialist training courses in relevant basic PLC, electrical installation and testing, hydraulics, pneumatics, steam systems and specific training
