SRG are working with a growing personal care product manufacturer based in Lancashire who are looking for an experienced Formulation Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong cosmetics and personal care formulation experience to support the growth and development of new and existing products.
Candidates with industrial experience in surfactant chemistry, dissolution behaviours, colour systems, colour cosmetics, fragrances, preservatives, skin compatibility, manufacturing scale-up, and cosmetic regulations are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead formulation development from concept through to production and product launch
* Oversee daily manufacturing operations and support KPI performance
* Ensure compliance with cosmetic and chemical regulations across EU and US markets
* Troubleshoot formulation and manufacturing issues to maintain quality and efficiency
* Work closely with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to support product launches
* Apply surfactant chemistry knowledge in the development of cosmetic and personal care products
* Conduct laboratory testing on powdered ingredients and analyse dissolution behaviour and product performance
* Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing, safety, and product quality
Requirements
* 3+ years’ recent experience formulating cosmetics or personal care products
* Strong experience across formulation, manufacturing, and regulatory compliance
* Degree or HNC in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or Chemical Engineering preferred
* Full right to work in the UK – sponsorship is not available for this role
