Overview
Lanes Health Club, West Sussex's premier health and wellbeing destination, seeks an enthusiastic Catering and Events Manager to lead kitchen operations and create memorable dining experiences. The role involves managing café operations, developing innovative, healthy menus, overseeing events, covering Club Operation Manager (COMS) shifts, and handling administrative tasks to align with the club's vision of excellence. Teamwork, sustainability, and adherence to brand standards are key.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all café operations, including two weekly operational shifts.
* Lead menu creation, stock management, and staff recruitment/training.
* Ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and brand consistency in the café.
* Drive performance targets (revenue, cost control, member satisfaction).
* Plan and execute profitable and charitable events.
* Cover Club Operation Manager (COMS) shifts as required.
* Handle administrative tasks, including stock ordering, payroll, and financial audits.
* Foster a positive team environment and deliver exceptional member experiences.
* Conduct audits, manage payroll, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Member Responsibilities
* Deliver first-class service, ensuring safety, standards, and member satisfaction.
* Train staff to maintain brand consistency and respond to feedback promptly.
Skills & Requirements
* Proven supervisory experience in food service or kitchen management.
* Passion for innovative, healthy menu creation.
* Strong multitasking, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of food and beverage trends and event planning.
* Proactive, commercially aware, and committed to customer service.
* Ability to cover COMS shifts and manage administrative duties effectively.
Performance Metrics
* Café and event revenue, member engagement, and satisfaction (Net Promoter Score).
* Profit after costs, brand standards audit scores, and staff performance.

Requirements
* Minimum 1 year of management experience (preferred).
* Event planning experience (preferred).
* Ability to commute/relocate to Littlehampton, BN16 4NB.
