UPS Field Service Engineer (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Location: London, Southeast and nearby areas
Reports to: Head of Service
They are expanding the service and support team and are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join them.
As a Field Service Engineer with UPS Knowledge, you will be essential in maintaining the reliability of critical power systems. Your duties will encompass commissioning, maintenance, servicing, and repairing various uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems.
You will work in critical power environments, including airports, hospitals, data centres and educational institutions, showcasing excellent communication skills and taking full responsibility for your tasks.
Conduct Start-up/Commissioning, Preventative Maintenance (AC, DC, and SNMP Cards), and Corrective/Unscheduled Maintenance on various UPS equipment.
Lead critical power projects and collaborate closely with our sales team.
Provide support to customers and internal teams (Sales, Admin, and Operations).
Attend all required training courses and meetings and oversee the development of colleagues.
Offer consulting services both on-site at customer locations and over the phone as needed.
Work with customers, contractors, Service Partners, and other team members to promote and grow the brand.
Manage installation projects and unit replacements as needed.
Comply with safety policies, practices, procedures, and cybersecurity.
Perform any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Head of Service.
2-5 years of experience in the UPS industry or a similar field. (Professional Technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
~ In-depth knowledge of electrical/electronic principles and codes.
~ Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
~ Proficiency in MS Office and strong computer literacy.
~ Full clean driving licence.
