About The Role
This is a Scheme Support Officer role in an accommodation‑based support service in Tredegar, Blaenau Gwent. We have a team of Scheme Support officers, Lead Project Workers, Project Workers and Accommodation Coordinator providing 24/7 support to our diverse group of customers.
Working in a team, you will provide support to vulnerable individuals, couples and families and help them to develop the key skills needed to prevent homelessness, improve financial capability, promote resettlement into the community and achieve positive progression. You will provide housing‑related support to equip our customers with the knowledge, skills and tools that they need to be able to live independent lives.
Your Duties Will Include
* Connecting with our 22 customers and their families.
* Considerate responses to incidents with the support of an on‑call Manager.
* Capturing conversations and updating records.
* Providing our customers with a positive environment to live.
* Completing reasonable requests from the scheme’s Manager and Lead Project Workers.
* Liaising with emergency services and the duty team.
* Perform cleaning tasks and ensure efficient room turnovers to maintain a high standard of service.
Skills And Experience Needed
Relevant work experience and knowledge of issues relating to vulnerable people is essential.

* A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player.
* Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations.

* £25,877.80 FTE
* Shift pattern with 4‑week rolling rota: primarily waking nights, with some flexibility.
