The Opportunity You’ll be travelling to customer locations (mostly retail and hospitality) to install systems such as tills, tablets, back-office devices, kitchen screens, or digital signage. This role involves regular travel, varied site locations, and the flexibility to work across different shift patterns including weekends and overnights when required. Your Responsibilities * IT Hardware Installation: Install and configure equipment including EPOS tills, Chip & PIN devices, tablets, printers, kitchen display systems, and digital signage. * Device Setup: Power up, configure, and test devices to ensure full functionality, including software checks and connectivity validation. * Project-Based Work: Work from defined scopes of work (SOWs), floor plans, and installation briefs across multi-site deployments. * Site Delivery: Ensure each installation is completed on time, to spec, and to high quality standards. * Reporting & Sign-Off: Complete job documentation, capture site photos, and update internal tools or mobile apps for progress tracking. * On-Site Conduct: Represent Celestra professionally at customer locations, maintaining strong communication and cleanliness on-site. What You’ll Need * Field Experience: Previous experience installing IT hardware in retail, hospitality, or commercial environments. * Technical Confidence: Comfortable powering up and configuring hardware, updating settings, and verifying basic functionality. * Device Knowledge: Familiar with EPOS systems, tablets, media players, or similar front-of-house/back-office tech. * Self-Sufficiency: Able to work alone or as part of a mobile project team with minimal supervision. * Own Transport: You must have your own van or large vehicle to carry tools, kit, and equipment. * Basic Toolset: Cordless drill, screwdrivers, laptop/tablet, and other basic tools required for mounting and setup. * Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence is essential.
