We are growing our service department, who cover clients nationwide and pride ourselves on excellent service and delivery, after installation servicing is key to keeping our clients systems fully compliant and operational. Whether it is special risk, detection or any sprinkler system, we provide service and maintenance of systems combined with 24/7 emergency call-out.
Role and Responsibilties - Proposals Engineer - Service Department
As the Proposals Engineer within in our Service Department you will be responsible for remedial sales growth aligned to our Service & Maintenance operations. You will have a strong understanding of fixed fire protection systems in accordance with both national and international standards, coupled with excellent analytical skills, organisation and the ability to communicate effectively with the wider team, clients and stakeholders.
1. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
2. Survey and obtain key asset information to inform estimates.
3. Regular liaison with the service and maintenance team.
4. Review tender documents including drawings, design standards, specifications and client requirements.
5. Develop a detailed proposal document complete utilising in house electronic software.
6. Monitor and progress submitted quotations to obtain client feedback.
7. Attend internal and client meetings.
8. Professionally interact with our customers either through email, telephone or site visits to further client satisfaction & increase sales opportunities.
9. Full driving license
Essential Skills
10. Proven technical experience in fire sprinkler systems.
11. Experience of developing technical fire protection proposals.
12. Understanding of fire protection related standards including, but not limited to, BSEN, BS, BS & BS.
13. Strong organisational skills with ability to meet deadlines and changing priorities.
14. Can demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and efficiency.
15. Proven IT skills with experience of MS office packages.
16. Friendly and outgoing personality with the natural ability to engage with customers/clients representing Argus Fire professionally and positively.
17. Strong commercial awareness with demonstrable numerical skills.
