Fulbridge Social Care is recruiting experienced and trainee Residential Youth Workers to join our casual team. The role involves working in children’s residential homes and independent living settings. We are seeking flexible, reliable, and interactive individuals eager to work in a specialist environment where full training and qualifications are provided.
The position entails providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to young people with challenging behavior and complex needs, aiming to create an environment that caters to their intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
You will work with young people aged 11 to 18, who are in the care system for various reasons and have diverse disorders, behaviors, and needs. Therefore, confidence, patience, and a suitable skill set are essential to make a positive impact on their lives.
Responsibilities include supporting young people throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, education, and shopping. You will also interact with professionals like social workers, probation officers, and police officers, supporting young people in environments such as classrooms, courts, and police stations.
A driving license is essential, as you will need to operate the unit car and transport young people to destinations like family contacts, school, and social activities.
Applicants must complete an enhanced DBS check with Fulbridge Social Care and successfully pass one of our induction programs before placements can be offered.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

5. Support young people in managing their behavior using approved skills.

7. Protect service users from abuse by staff, visitors, or other service users.
8. Write accurate reports for reviews and keep records for monitoring purposes.
9. Attend all required training and achieve relevant qualifications.
10. Attend work reliably and punctually, following a set shift pattern.
11. Stay updated on procedures and policy changes.
12. Ensure health and safety for yourself and others.
13. Undertake additional duties relevant to the role.
