As a key member of the global Emergency Care (EC) Business Excellence Leadership Team, the EC PMO Director will lead the Pre-hospital PMO team. Reporting directly to the EC Business Excellence Leader, the PMO Director oversees program and project execution, processes, continuous improvements, and personnel management of the EC Pre-hospital PMO Team.
Your role:
* Building, strengthening, and leading the EC Pro Pre-hospital PMO including essential operating mechanisms of portfolio management, continuous resource management, business priority alignment, and execution excellence.
* Leading PMO team including project managers driving the execution of the EC Pro Pre-hospital and Informatics roadmap, including but not limited to implementation and integration programs and projects. Develops staff to fullest potential, providing them operational guidance throughout the execution of their projects, both technically and organizationally.
* Identifying and solving project management gaps and emerging needs in skills, capabilities, and capacity to support the execution of the EC Pro Pre-hospital and Informatics roadmap.
* Formulating the EC Pro Pre-hospital and Informatics roadmap execution plan, in accordance with the goals and timing, set by management. Specify the resources required, anticipated costs, risk assessment, and quality standards to be used.
* Leads EC Pro Pre-hospital and Informatics roadmap governance, conducting regular reviews such that key programs and projects are tracking to defined objectives and KPIs, maintaining stakeholder alignment, and proactively managing risk to quality and schedule performance
* Controlling and monitoring the EC Pro Pre-hospital and Informatics roadmap execution, budget, benefits, and contributed value - taking corrective actions when necessary and generates adequate reporting.
* Report results and escalating issues to internal and external stakeholders across EC.
* Partners with functional leaders across EC and beyond to deliver EC Pro Pre-hospital and Informatics programs and projects from concept to launch to handoff.
* Deploying process improvements across the EC Pro Pre-hospital PMO Team in partnership with the global EC Business Excellence organization. Makes the project organization efficient and transparent and ensures alignment with management objectives. Leads change by deploying and supporting the continued success of capabilities.
* Ensuring team members adhere to internal policies and procedures.
* Manage and cultivate internal stakeholder, partner, leader, and PMO relationships to secure and expand partnership and execution success.

You’re right for this role if:
* You are certified Project Manager (PMI PMP Prince2) and hold a BS or MS in relevant field including Computer, Engineering, or Business field of study
* You have extensive experience successfully leading large complex programs, projects, and initiatives using a structured approach (e.g. PMP, Prince2, SAFE/Agile) in a regulated environment (ideally Medical Devices but can also consider Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Automotive, Defence).
* You are an inspirational People Leader who can demonstrate depth in organizational dynamics, motivating teams, and developing talent.
* You consider yourself to be a subject matter expertise in all phases of product development, launch, and maintenance including voice of the customer, requirements generation, design controls, verification, validation, usability, process validation, service, and support-readiness
* You apply data-driven decision-making and the ability to move teams through vague and complex situations.
