Recruiting Specialist - Transactional Finance at Gleeson Recruitment Group

We're looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to take full ownership of our client's monthly PAYE payroll for c.1600 employees. This is a permanent, on-site position based in Solihull offices - ideal for a confident payroll professional who thrives in a hands-on role and is keen to make an impact.

This is also a great opportunity for a Senior Payroller ready to take the next step in their career into a standalone managerial role.

What's on offer:

Salary of £45,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)

A standalone, end-to-end payroll role with real autonomy

The opportunity to be involved in exciting payroll transformation and systems projects during your first few months

A supportive and professional working environment

Key responsibilities:

End-to-end processing of the monthly PAYE payroll for approx. 1600 employees

Ensure accuracy and compliance with HMRC regulations and internal policies

Act as the go-to expert for payroll queries and statutory requirements

Liaise with HR and Finance to ensure smooth data flow and reporting

Contribute to payroll system reviews, process improvements, and upcoming transformation projects

What we're looking for:

Proven experience managing a large PAYE payroll, ideally in a standalone capacity

Up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation, RTI, pensions, and statutory payments

* Solid knowledge of time and attendance systems

Comfortable working on-site full time and independently managing the payroll cycle

A proactive mindset with an interest in system/process improvements

Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
