We’ve got an exciting opportunity to join us as a store manager and help build the brand’s future. Here your voice is brewed into everything we do. As a leader at Starbucks you will be empowered to treat the store as if it is your own business.

To be successful in the role, you’ll have previous experience in leading a team in a dynamic retail or hospitality environment. You’ll champion our mission and values to create the Starbucks experience for our customers and partners. You’ll understand your market, get to know the competition and identify opportunities to drive store profitability and your business forward. You’ll be an ambassador for our partner networks, making sure our partners know they belong. The best part about this role is that no two days are ever the same.

As a store leader, working in one of our dynamic stores, you’ll be setting the example and leading from the front on shift. A typical day could include the following responsibilities.


Responsibilities

* Executing the store operations through your team, on your scheduled shifts and on your days off, ensuring opening, closing and weekend coverage by yourself and your team of partners.
* Analyzing data and leveraging store observations to inform decision making that improves both customer experience and overall store performance.
* Working with other store leaders to use forecasting and scheduling tools to manage labour within the required budgets, as well as recruiting world-class and diverse talent that meets store needs.
* Cascading and rolling out new initiatives to enable operational excellence and drive business results.
* Supporting the growth of your partners through performance and development, coaching and building positive relationships to understand partner challenges, needs and aspirations.
* Setting challenging and realistic goals to drive engagement and improve partner performance.
* Working within the store’s operating hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays as required.


Qualifications

* Previous experience leading a team in a dynamic retail or hospitality environment.
* Ability to champion mission and values to deliver the Starbucks experience for customers and partners.
* Strong understanding of local market dynamics, competitive landscape and opportunities to improve profitability.
* Proven ability to train, coach and develop team members and build positive working relationships.
* Willingness to work a schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and holidays.


Training and Development

All retail store partners begin their careers with an introductory training programme led by in-store trainers and coaches, designed to immerse you in the Starbucks culture and set you up for success. Training programmes are delivered in-store and provide partners with on-the-job learning supported by their manager.
