You will be joining a large, well‑established public sector organisation that delivers essential services across the region. The finance function is undergoing continued development, and the team is seeking a motivated finance professional to support effective financial planning, performance monitoring and informed decision-making.
Your new role
As the Finance Officer, you will support senior finance colleagues and operational managers by providing clear, accurate financial information. Key duties include:
1. Assisting with annual budget setting and ensuring plans align with organisational priorities.
2. Supporting the development of efficiency, recovery and contingency plans.
3. Identifying financial risks early and helping agree corrective actions.
4. Enhancing the use of financial systems, reporting tools and analytical processes.
5. Producing ad hoc financial reports and resolving queries from senior management.
What you'll need to succeed
You must meet one of the following criteria:
6. Degree + 2 years’ relevant finance experience
7. AAT/HND + 2 years’ relevant finance experience
8. Part‑qualified CCAB + 1 year’s relevant finance experience
9. 3 years’ relevant Band‑4‑equivalent experience
You will also demonstrate:
10. Strong written and verbalmunication skills
11. High Excelpetency
12. Solid understanding of accounting principles (accruals, prepayments)
13. Ideally, experience in management accounts and variance analysis
14. Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
