Vertiv in Letterkenny, Ireland, is dedicated to the design, build, and distribution of Modular Data Centre modules. We are supported by our factories in Burnfoot and Derry, which supply switchgear and busbar directly.
We manufacture complete distribution systems, including MV and LV switchgear, busbar trunking, energy management systems, and modular power solutions. All manufacturing processes are carried out in-house, including sheet metal fabrication, paintwork, punching, pressing, and bending copper and aluminium.
Investment in a state-of-the-art tin-plating and silver-plating plant has enhanced Vertiv's engineering capabilities. This progress is made possible by the support of our programme and project teams.
Job Summary
A Project Scheduler within a Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for planning, organizing, and scheduling project activities. They work closely with project managers and teams to develop detailed project plans, defining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements. Using project management software, they create Gantt charts and critical path analyses to visualize schedules and identify potential bottlenecks.
In addition to supporting project execution, they assist other business units during the presales phase by defining project execution schedules, especially in the presales phase.
Responsibilities
* Develop detailed project schedules outlining tasks, dependencies, durations, and milestones.
* Utilize project management software and tools to input and manage schedule data.
* Engage with project managers, team members, and stakeholders to gather information for schedule development.
* Facilitate discussions to ensure accurate representation of project activities and timelines.
* Monitor project progress and update schedules as needed.
* Analyze critical paths and identify potential risks or delays.
Requirements
* Minimum of one year of related work experience in the construction industry or as a project scheduler or junior project manager.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Good analytical and planning skills.
* Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
