The Quality Engineer position reports to the Senior Quality Manager, OEM and Supplier Quality. This role supports continuous improvement of product quality and reliability by evaluating and controlling quality processes, ensuring compliance with global regulations, BD requirements and customer expectations.

Responsibilities
* Support supplier complaint reduction activities, including kaizen events, data review, and supplier improvement implementation.
* Perform customer complaint analysis with signal assessments for QDA meetings.
* Assist with Supplier Change Requests (SCRs) as required.
* Resolve supplier failures and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions, including PM activities and BD‑owned assets linked to materials used in BD MX facilities.
* Own PCCs related to supplier changes using the Pega PCC process, including Idea Hub submissions and PE Project requests.
* Support Test Method Validation and related validation activities in BD labs.
* Manage calibration and maintenance processes for the Winnersh site.
* Conduct supplier audits on request.
* Travel globally 15‑20% of the time.
Qualifications
* Relevant engineering degree or HND (ISO 13485, Medical Device Directives 93/42/EEC, MDR).
* Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
* Proficiency in statistical techniques (Gage R&R, Acceptance Sampling, Process Capability, SPC) and failure investigation methods (8M, Cause & Effect Analysis).
* Collaborative mindset with independence across geographies and functions.
Benefits & Compensation
Salary range: £42,000 – £50,000 yearly (plus bonus and benefits).
