Opportunity Overview We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Podiatry (Clinical Education, Skills and Clinic Lead) on a full-time, permanent basis to join our growing Podiatry and Allied Health Professions (AHP) team at the University of Salford. This role offers a unique blend of academic leadership and clinical oversight, providing an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of podiatrists. You will be an experienced HCPC-registered podiatrist with a broad range of clinical experience and a passion for teaching, curriculum development, and supporting student learning. You will have a proven track record in delivering high-quality, evidence-based podiatric care and education, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach. Our podiatry programmes are designed to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners, and our team works flexibly, which may include some Saturdays. For an informal conversation about this role, please contact Jude Holt (Head of Podiatry) (j.a.holt1@salford.ac.uk ) Job Description Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver high-quality podiatry teaching and clinical skills education across modules, in clinical and simulated environments, ensuring alignment with programme outcomes. Bridge academic teaching and clinical practice, ensuring students gain current, evidence-based podiatry skills and supporting curriculum development. Plan, monitor, and manage patient activity in the podiatry clinic, collaborating with operational staff to ensure appropriate capacity, case mix, and safe, effective learning. Lead, mentor, and support colleagues, contributing to staff development, module and programme delivery, and participation in the University PDR process. Undertake and disseminate research and scholarship, supervise learners in research, and contribute to funding applications, knowledge transfer, and professional engagement.
