The Role:
As a Strategic Land and Planning Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and promoting strategic land opportunities, supporting the growth of the business. Reporting to the Strategic Land Director, your responsibilities will include:
* Identifying and securing strategic land opportunities through negotiations and agreements.
* Developing and implementing planning strategies to obtain Local Plan allocations or planning permissions in the shortest possible timeframe.
* Managing the planning promotion process of each site in line with the agreed planning strategy.
* Liaising closely with planning and technical consultants to ensure that each project runs on time and within budget.
* Attending planning committee meetings and public consultation events to represent the company.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with landowners, agents, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
* Providing support in key business decisions and regional meetings.
Requirements:
* Strong experience in strategic land acquisition and planning promotion within the residential sector.
* Degree in Planning or a related field.
* Strong understanding of planning policies and development processes.
* Proven track record of successfully identifying and negotiating land deals.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Proactive and team-oriented approach.
