Job Title: Temporary Finance Assistant
Location: Welwyn Garden City
Hourly Rate: £15.38 – £15.93 per hour
Contract: Temporary (until approximately December)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
Overview:
We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join a busy finance team on a temporary basis until December. Based in Welwyn Garden City, this role is ideal for someone with a finance background, experience using Sage, and strong Excel skills (intermediate level or above).
Key Responsibilities:
* Sales ledger administration
* Credit control administration
* Monthly reconciliation of control accounts
* Data integration across systems to ensure consistency and accuracy
* Updating the daily cashflow statement
* Assisting with the month-end process
* Preparing management accounts
* Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc finance-related projects
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a finance support role
* Knowledge of Sage accounting software (essential)
* Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Available for the full duration of the assignment
