Berry Recruitment’s Darlington branch is currently recruiting a Chef to support a Primary School in the Catterick Garrison area. This is a short-term temporary role with the possibility of extension.

An Enhanced DBS check covering both Children and Adults is essential.

🌟 Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and cook a variety of balanced and nutritious meals, tailored to the dietary requirements of pupils and staff
2.
Maintain strict food hygiene and safety standards within the kitchen
3.
Manage stock levels, place weekly orders, and ensure cost-effective operations
4.
Lead and supervise catering assistants, ensuring smooth day-to-day service
5.
Oversee the financial operations and comply with school budgetary guidelines

Previous experience in a chef or catering leadership role, ideally within an educational or institutional setting
7.
In-depth understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations, and allergen management
