Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of joinery and construction, demonstrating proficiency in both fabrication and assembly. This role requires a hands-on approach to building and repairing structures, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. Multi-skilled is a benefit for local refurbishment works. Both commercial and residential.
Duties
* Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including doors, windows, and furniture.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and joining materials.
* Perform carpentry tasks related to roofing, including the installation of trusses and rafters.
* Engage in construction painting to enhance the aesthetic appeal of completed projects.
* Conduct plumbing tasks as required, ensuring all fixtures are installed correctly.
* Carry out masonry work when necessary, including bricklaying and stonework.
* Provide electrical support for installations and repairs as needed.
* Assist in heavy lifting and moving of materials on-site to facilitate project progress.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Hours : Monday - Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 2.30pm.
* CIS registered is a plus
Requirements
* Proven experience in joinery or a related field is essential.
* Strong skills in fabrication and assembly techniques.
* Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in construction.
* Knowledge of carpentry practices, including joinery techniques.
* Experience with roofing systems is advantageous.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
* Familiarity with construction painting methods is preferred.
* Basic plumbing knowledge is beneficial for completing various tasks.
* Understanding of masonry principles is a plus for diverse project requirements.
