Responsibilities
* Schedules, directs, and assigns employee work activities in the department. Monitors and evaluates staff performance and maintains accreditation standards.
* Maintains equipment in the department and coordinates reports (e.g., Physicists) if applicable.
* Communicates with radiologists, physicians, and hospital staff regarding patient examinations.
* Performs the duties of a technologist in the modality, including preparation of IV, venipunctures, administration of oral contrast, and assisting with biopsies.
* Provides MR Safety training to self, patient, and staff.
* Maintains current knowledge of the specialty by attending seminars and in-services.
* Orders and maintains supplies required in the department.
* Acts as a student preceptor.
* Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications and Specifications
An associate degree or higher from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the ARRT. A minimum of three years of job-related experience or equivalent is required. CPR Certification is required. ARRT certification in MRI is also required.
