Specialist Physiotherapist – Amputee Rehabilitation

We are looking for a Band 7 physiotherapist to work within Amputee Rehabilitation, leading the physiotherapy service at the Specialized Ability Centre. The role involves assessment and treatment of new and established amputees, managing a caseload, and supervising junior staff and students. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and work with paediatric patients in outpatient and community settings.
Main duties
The successful applicant will:
* Plan, coordinate, deliver and evaluate services for amputees and outpatients referred to the physiotherapy service.
* Carry an independent caseload of patients, delivering high‑quality, comprehensive care.
* Demonstrate excellent clinical reasoning and calm, assertive communication.
* Supervise junior staff and students as part of a support network.
Qualifications
* Dip./Deg. in Physiotherapy.
* H&CC Registration.
* Evidence of relevant postgraduate courses / CPD.
* Relevant validated clinical courses.
* Leadership / management course.
* BACPAR membership.
Experience
* Significant clinical experience in a specialist area.
* Previous Band 7 experience (acting or substantive).
Knowledge
* Good knowledge of physiotherapy in the relevant specialist area.
* Awareness of the political / national situation.
* Understanding of Clinical Governance and its implications to practice.
* Good insight into national policies affecting the specialist clinical area.
* Excellent knowledge of the specialty.

Salary: £49,387 to £56,515 per annum (Pro Rata).
