Graduate Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor – 2026 Development Programme – UK-Wide

We are looking for a Graduate Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor to support a variety of projects across the UK in establishing, monitoring and continually improving health, safety and wellbeing standards.
What you'll do:
1. Implement and monitor company health, safety and wellbeing policies on projects and ensure statutory requirements are met.
2. Provide operational advice to managers on preventing accidents and ill health, and support preparation of risk assessments and method statements.
3. Help prepare and review the Project Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan and carry out site inspections and audits as required.
4. Assist with Health and Safety training and inductions.
5. Investigate incidents and near misses, coordinate close-outs and prepare performance reports.
6. Actively engage with the Skanska Graduate Programme for professional development
What you'll bring to the role:
7. Studying towards or having completed a degree in Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Health or similar
8. Values driven and passionate about sustainability
9. Enthusiastic about learning and developing new ways of thinking
10. Able to communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences
11. You have a strong interest in innovation, sustainability and making a positive impact
12. Willingness to work towards professional qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH
13. This role requires visits to sites across the UK. As such, we would expect you to have a driving licence or work towards obtaining one within your first year of working with us.
