The Role:
As a Head of Learning & Development, you will be responsible for designing and delivering a learning strategy that enables our colleagues to thrive, and our business to perform to the best of its ability. You’ll partner with senior leaders and key stakeholders to build workforce capability, develop leadership excellence, and create career pathways that retain and grow talent.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define and deliver the L&D strategy, aligned with Hendy’s growth ambitions, compliance needs, and operational performance.
* Drive innovative learning solutions that improve productivity, customer outcomes, and colleague engagement.
* Build leadership capability and succession pipelines through structured development programmes.
* Use data and insights to measure learning impact and drive continuous improvement.
* Lead, coach, and develop the L&D team, managing external learning partners to ensure value and quality.
About You:
We’re looking for a strategic L&D leader who can balance big-picture thinking with hands-on delivery. You will bring:
* Senior-level experience leading L&D in a complex, multi-site organisation.
* Experience of leadership development and blended learning approaches.
* A track record of aligning people development with business performance and measuring ROI.
* Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and influencing skills at executive level.
* Energy, resilience, and a passion for unlocking people potential.
