Role Overview GP with experience in urgent or primary care setting to work across Doncaster services. Support clinical governance, audits, development and assist with recruitment, training, supervision. Act as senior clinician on duty when clinical. Must provide consultations and clinical management in face‑to‑face or virtual settings.
Main Duties
Provide high‑quality clinical services as part of core team of salaried GPs, Advanced Clinical Practitioners and other clinicians, within Planned and Urgent Care.
Manage patient consultations and appropriate clinical management.
Maintain accurate electronic records and contribute to data recording and audit.
Contribute to evaluation/audit, Patient Safety Incident Investigations, clinical standard setting.
Develop positive working relationships with local GP Practices, housing, social work, voluntary services, drug & alcohol, mental health, dental, secondary care and other services.
Participate in organisational, operational and strategic planning.
Engage in continuing professional and personal development, including study leave (8 days per year pro rata).
Support Management team and Clinical Nurse Manager to ensure KPIs/targets are met.
Lead improvements to standards of care through supervision, audit, evidence‑based practice, teaching and professional leadership.
Contribute to Clinical Governance agenda – lead audit, research, attend governance meetings, manage incidents, complaints and audit.
Provide mentorship, support, and teamwork to new and evolving roles and clinical trainees.
Contribute to Clinical Innovation and digital developments within the organisation.
Develop and maintain partnerships with stakeholder organisations ensuring effective care pathways.

Ensure full GMC registration, membership of relevant defence body, and annual appraisal evidence.
