Mechanical Technician – Additional Pay
Location: Knottingley
Salary: £35,000 + Additional on-call pay per call out
Hours: Mon – Fri, 7am – 3pm

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure full compliance with company health and safety policies.
Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, drivers, belts, pumps, and gearboxes.
Fault finding, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of machinery.
Experience with servo drives (desirable but not essential).
Conduct routine servicing, urgent repairs, machine setting, and calibration on production machinery, plant, and equipment.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues to minimise downtime.
Support new equipment installation and process improvements.
Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair work.
Provide emergency mechanical assistance during on-call shifts.
About You:
Proven background in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and fault-finding techniques.
Time-served apprenticeship or relevant mechanical engineering qualifications.
Problem-solving mindset, teamwork, and adaptability.
