Support WorkerPay rate: £14.50 per hour (Weekly or Monthly pay available)Contract: 1 x 36hrs and 1x 24hrs available) on waking nights, Monday to Sunday: 19:00pm - 7:00amWe are looking for a compassionate and dedicated female support worker to assist a gentleman in his late 30s who is living with a spinal injury and is paralysed from the chest down. He is a clear communicator and uses an eye-gaze device for typing emails and messages. Full support is required with all aspects of daily living, including personal care and bowel management.You will be working in a well-adapted home where he lives with his wife and their 8-month-old baby. They are a fun-loving family with a great sense of humour who enjoy spending quality time together. They also have a passion for hobbies such as shooting and visiting local attractions.Responsibilities:Providing high-quality 1:1 support tailored to individual needs.Supporting with all aspects of daily living, including personal care and bowel care managementAssisting with routine household tasks to maintain a calm and organised home environmentEncouraging and enabling participation in meaningful activities at home and in the communitySupporting communication using assistive technologyExperience and Skills of a Support WorkerA caring, patient, and reliable individualExperience in complex care (including spinal injury and bowel care – desirable but training can be provided)A positive attitude and a good sense of humourA full UK driving licence (essential)Who we are:acuity care delivers specialist support across Brain Injury, Spinal Injury, Learning Disability & Autism, and Mental Health Services.
