Ward Based Pharmacy Assistant

Job responsibilities
You will support the paediatric pharmacy team 3 days a week, the neurosciences pharmacy team 2 days a week and provide dispensary services approximately 2 hours a day. You will support inpatients and medicines supply via home care, working with a team of technicians and pharmacy assistants.
Person Specification
* NVQ2 in pharmaceutical sciences
* Experienced dispenser
* Experience of stock management
* Able to work as part of a team and independently
* Able to use own initiative appropriately
* Willing to travel between sites
* Enthusiastic and responsible attitude
* Ability to work well under pressure
* Adaptable to change
* Respectful towards colleagues and patients
* Previous NHS experience
* Experience of using the local pharmacy computer system
* Experience of hospital pharmacy
* Well organised
* A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
* Experience of a changing work environment
