Job Purpose

Job Title: Customer Support Administrator - Temporary Part Time Opportunity June 2024 - May 2025

Working Hours: 32.5 Hours Per week, Monday - Friday

Advertised Salary: £21,005 PTE

Location: Remote working from home, one day per week working at Ellesmere Port hub.

We are looking for a Customer Support Administrator to deliver excellence in customer service and support for customers, dealing with face to face enquiries, on the phone and in written communications and providing general administration and financial support to the waterway in the regional North West team.

Location and coverage

The role will be based working from home, with the allocation of a nearby Hub for collaborative working at our site in Ellesmere Port.

Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & Experience

Key Accountabilities:

1. Produce accurate and timely communication for our customers for example, through telephone calls, notice boards, post, email, social media and our website.
2. Coordinate the organisation of events and functions within the waterway, for both internal and external customers.
3. Provide administration services for the waterway including managing the post, booking meetings, organisation of occupational health visits, training, building management and equipment servicing.
4. Produce accurate and clearly presented reports that support the needs of the business.
5. Maintain accurate and well organised systems of records that are easily retrievable.
6. Use SAP to provide financial and administration services to the waterway, to ensure effective ordering of materials and supplies, to work with notifications and other financial processes.
7. Provide support to ensure the effective running of welcome stations around the waterway.
8. Display the Trust values and behaviours at all times.
9. Ensure that diversity and inclusion are integrated into all aspects of Trust life and promote inclusion by challenging behaviour, practices, actions, or decisions that are counter to the objectives of the Trust’s policies and values.

About You:

10. NVQ Level 2 Business Administration.
11. GSCE in Maths and English.
12. Some knowledge of working safely.
13. Some budget management experience.
14. Some experience in SAP.
15. Proven experience in a customer service area.
16. Proven experience of administration.
17. Some experience of working as or with volunteer(s).
18. Communication skills that allow you to inform, help and advise customers clearly and professionally and liaise with other professionals.
19. Ability to deal with difficult and potentially confrontational situations.
20. Confident in the use of the MS Office word processing and spreadsheet software.
21. Confidence, patience, politeness, tact and diplomacy, when addressing customer enquiries
22. Ability to work well under pressure.
23. Good personal presentation, especially when working with customers face to face.
