Job Description
* Oversee daily operations in the Accounting & Finance department.
* Responsibility for the monthly bank accounts reconciliations
* Coordinate budgeting and business planning processes.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
* Complete accountability for utilising the internet banking system to process BACS and CHAPS payments to employees and suppliers
* Collaborate with other departments to achieve organisational goals.
* Making certain that every month, all inter-company fees are increased inside the Group
* Examine any payment issues and/or supplier setup mistakes that the line manager finds each month in response to the AP Forensics report.
* Participate in the development of financial strategies.
* Mentor and guide junior staff in the department.
* To provide a high standard of customer service for both internal and external customers
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Finance Officer should have:
* At least 2 years' experience of working in an Housing or Property accounting department.
* Good knowledge of double entry book-keeping
* Proficient knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards.
* Experience leading an Accounts Payable team
* Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
* The ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
