PVG Membership Requirements
Roles that require PVG Membership: The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members, and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first full month’s salary.
The Role
To assist in domestic and commercial building maintenance by carrying out painting works and upgrades to Aberdeen City Council’s property infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications
* Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in painting at SCQF level 5 (SVQ level 2) or equivalent.
* Proven ability to work to deadlines.
* PVG Membership for Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, or willingness to obtain prior to a formal offer of employment.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Plastering in domestic, commercial or industrial settings.
* Working to specifications and understanding drawings.
* Working as a team to achieve goals.
