Job Purpose

The Research Manager will be responsible for managing external research collaborations in Translational Oncology, enabling data-driven innovation and translational insight through strategic academic engagements. This role involves coordinating joint research programs including contractual arrangements, financial aspects, data operations and management, facilitating communication with external stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.

In this role you will

* Monitor and manage the financial aspects of collaborative projects, including budgeting, funding allocation, and financial reporting.

* Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to conduct thorough due diligence on potential academic partners to ensure compatibility and potential for success.

* Work with internal specialist teams to negotiate and manage contractual agreements with external partners, ensuring all terms are met and documented.

* Ensure efficient data operations and management between the company and its partners, maintaining data integrity, data governance standards and confidentiality. Actively engage with resolving issues with data ingestion and flow if and when they arise.

* Facilitate effective communication with external stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.

* Support management of academic partnership portfolio through tracking progress and maintaining collaboration report.

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

* BSc in a related field (e.g., biology, chemistry, or a related life science field).

* Experience with managing collaborative research projects including budgets.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

Please note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply:

* Higher degree (MSc, PhD) in Life Sciences.

* Experience with handling big data in a biological/health context.

* Experience working with cross-functional teams.

* Demonstrates flexibility and ability to work well with ambiguity and in intense situations.

* Ability to escalate potential concerns or risks regarding partnerships to leadership
