We're seeking a new Food and Beverage manager to work within our hospitality department. The overall responsibilities for the Food and Beverage manager will include the customer management and the day-to-day operation of the Food and Beverage department while contributing to the overall achievement of business goals, ensuring consistent standards of service are maintained.
The Food and Beverage manager will contribute to the profitability of the business through the monitoring of revenue and budgets, management of the team and maintaining effective cost control. They will create an environment where the team are motivated and encouraged to maximize sales. The F&B manager will oversee all concessions, bars & C&E operations to ensure the overall economic and service goals for the department are delivered consistently at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* To manage all aspects of conference and banqueting and banqueting bars, both in administrative and operational functions
* To maximise food & beverage revenue through effective upselling and planned promotions aimed at driving spend
* To monitor daily revenue and costs on a daily basis to ensure profit is in line with revenue
* To create a working environment that supports organisational and brand value
* Develop and update conference and events service standards to ensure that performance is ahead of the wider conference market
* To deliver outstanding customer service at all times, both personally and through the team
* Recruit and maintain staffing levels in line with the business trends
* Control department payroll and operating costs in line with revenue and budget
* Continually train the team ensuring all statutory training is complete in given timeframes
* Develop the team ensuring each team member has the knowledge and tools to perform
* Actively seek verbal feedback from customers and use to drive positive change
* Deal with customer requests & complaints promptly and effectively to ensure a positive outcome
* Constantly review, assess and manage staff performance to ensure productivity and standards of service are high
Your Skills, Experience & Competencies
Essential Skills / Experience:
* Have detailed knowledge of department standards.
* At least 3 years experience of working in a food and beverage management role.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Hours & Location
The role is based at Utilita Bowl, Botley Road, West End, Southampton, SO30 3XH.
Working hours include a 40hr week, and there is an expectation that the role holder can be present for some evenings, weekends and bank holidays to meet the needs of the cricket and events schedule.
