Nurse at Burleys Wood
Salary: £24.32 per hour
Hours: 24.5hrs per week
Shift Times: Two shifts p/w on 4 week Rota Monday-Friday (occasional weekend), day shifts 07:45-20:00 with occasional nights 19:45-08:00
Shaw healthcare is looking for a passionate and caring Nurse who is ready to make a positive impact at Burleys Wood, a modern care home providing elderly frail nursing and residential dementia care. We have 60 single ensuite bedrooms divided into 6 separate self-contained units, each with its own lounge/dining area.

Job Responsibilities
5. Assessing patients health and care needs and developing care plans
6. Administering medication and monitoring services users response
7. Providing nursing care, including wound care and palliative care
8. Liaising with other healthcare professionals to coordinate personalised care
9. Supporting service users with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
10. Providing emotional support to service users and their families
11. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
12. Working within the Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines to ensure high standards of care
13. Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures
14. Participating in the induction and ongoing training of new staff members
Qualifications and Experience:
15. NMC Registered Nurse
16. Experience working in elderly care, including caring for patients with Alzheimer's and other dementia-related conditions
17. Knowledge of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards
18. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
19. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
20. Ability to work independently and use own initiative
