We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Associate Psychologist to join our integrated mental health care team at HMP Thameside. HMP Thameside is a category B remand prison located in South East London, close to Plumstead and Woolwich Arsenal stations. The prison houses around 1,232 patients with diverse and complex mental health needs. Within this role, you will support and enhance the psychological care of patients by providing psychological assessments and low to medium intensity psychological interventions. You will also supervise work delivered by Assistant Psychologists under the guidance of the registered psychologist. HMP Thameside is a busy prison with high patient turnover, making this role suitable for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
This role offers a salary of up to £53,172 per annum, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
* Identify patients who may benefit from psychological interventions
* Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including risk assessments and formulations
* Deliver appropriate individual and group interventions according to PTTS pathways and guidance from the supervising psychologist
* Maintain accurate clinical records
* Facilitate understanding of psychological support within the multidisciplinary team
* Contribute to audit, research, and service evaluation projects
* Maintain CPD and peer supervision sessions
* Engage in regular supervision and document competencies

Qualifications required:
* Bachelor's degree in Psychology with entitlement to graduate basis for chartered membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society or MSc in Forensic/Health Psychology
* Foundation training in evidence-based psychological frameworks (e.g., CFT, CBT, DBT, ACT)
* Knowledge of evidence-based psychological therapies relevant to mental health management
