Experience Previous experience working in a 4 star hotel is preferred

SPECIFIC DUTIES
The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:
1. To perform the function of the Night Manager to Company standard.
2. To be competent and undertake in Night Audit duties.
3. To be computer literate.
4. To ensure Night Portering duties are carried out competently.
5. To ensure that the building is patrolled at frequent and irregular intervals paying particular attention to vulnerable areas, floors, bars, beer and liquor stores and food stores etc. During the patrol, all outer doors should be checked ensuring that they are all locked with the exception of the lobby.
6. To ensure complete familiarisation with all fire instructions and operate evacuation procedures when required in the event of a fire.
7. To investigate and report all instances of loss, damage or injury to guests, staff or visitors.
8. To assist the reception staff to check any doubtful persons registering. To be familiar with the systems for reservations and registrations together with the methods of checking identity.
9. To record and report all health and safety hazards including any matters involving hygiene and unsafe working practices and advise staff if seen working in a manner likely to be unsafe to themselves or others.
10. Guest parking when authorised and ensure that such arrangements are operated correctly and not abused.
11. To assist Personnel and Training with fire, security and Health & Safety training of night staff as necessary.
12. To liaise with police, Fire Brigade and other relevant agencies as necessary.
13. Any serious breach of security must be brought to the attention of the General Manager.
14. To adhere to Personnel policies and procedures at all times.
15. Effective rostering and control of holidays of Night Team.
16. Complete performance reviews.
17. Training new associates on procedures within the department
