An established full-time child and adolescent psychiatry post has arisen. The successful applicants will join an integrated multidisciplinary team providing child and adolescent mental health care to the Bolton population.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to provide clinical leadership over specific service components, such as Single Point of Access, Core Affective Services, or Early Intervention in Psychosis.
The role involves working alongside consultant child and adolescent psychiatrists, Specialty Doctors, a consultant therapist, a consultant paediatrician, clinical psychologists, CAMHS practitioners from nursing, social work, therapy, and other allied backgrounds, Non-Medical Prescribers, and Emotional Health and Wellbeing Practitioners. The team conducts assessments including Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule interviews and Qb Tests, and provides interventions such as psychopharmacology, CBT, CAT, EMDR, DBT, DDP, systemic family therapy, and functional family therapy, both individually and in groups, alongside care coordination.
