Glan Clwyd Hospital, Rhyl (main base), offers a 6-month position in Oral and Restorative Maxillofacial Surgery.
Community Dental Service, North Wales. The post will mainly be at Wrexham Dental Centre and Buckley Dental Clinic, with opportunities to gain experience at other sites. - 6 months
Applicants must have Full GDC registration
Main duties of the job
Perform minor oral surgery, including day case procedures under local and general anaesthesia. Manage elective and emergency outpatient and inpatient oral and maxillofacial surgeries, including head and neck cancers and orthognathic surgeries. Experience with a range of oral medicine conditions and outpatient management of oral and maxillofacial conditions, including skin cancers.
N15B: Community Dental Service, North Wales, various sites - 6 months: This will provide experience in treating a diverse patient group, including children, older adults, individuals with learning disabilities, mental health issues, and complex medical/social histories. Opportunities include inhalation sedation, short case general anaesthetic cases, intravenous sedation, domiciliary care, and oral health promotion. The post may include work in HMP Berwyn and participation in quality improvement initiatives. The service is involved in national oral health programs such as "Designed to Smile" and care home initiatives.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally encouraged to apply.
