A career in our United Kingdom Qualified Lawyer practice, within Legal Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients adopt a more strategic approach to global entity governance across their organisations. We help our clients and their legal entities with the incorporation of new companies, on going compliance with local legislation, and restructuring of their global businesses to manage governance and compliance risks.
About the role
The Corporate practice is one of PwC Legal's largest practice groups. The Corporate team focuses on corporate and business structuring projects ranging from significant multi-territory reorganisation projects to smaller intra-group reorganisations, as well as M&A and private equity work. The team also has specialisms in advising on LLPs and LLP conversions and European company law (cross-border / domestic mergers.
We are looking for NQ to 3 year PQE lawyers with a general corporate law and transactional background to join this busy, friendly team at Senior Associate level and help support the continued expansion of the team in the regions.
What your days will look like:
1. You will work on a wide range of projects across the specialisms covered by our group; most of our projects involve understanding and applying technical areas of law in detail.
2. Work is varied and there is the opportunity to get involved in technically challenging projects for high profile clients in a meaningful way where you are valued and given responsibility within a suitably supported learning framework.
3. You will be expected to run certain matters under the supervision of one of the Corporate partners and to work closely alongside the other fee earners in the team
4. Embrace the challenge of turning your hand to many different types of corporate work rather than doing similar deals time and time again. The nature of working so closely alongside professionals in PwC's various teams across London and the regions
This role is for you if:
• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales or equivalent common law jurisdiction.
• Excellent academic background.
• A solid general corporate law and private company M&A background.
• Experience of intra-group corporate and business structuring work.
• An interest in working in a variety of corporate areas.
• Strong client service skills.
• NQ to 3 years PQE.
• Primarily a team player but also able to work under own initiative.
• Clear, articulate and confident in written and verbal communication skill
