A programme built on stability.Morson Edge is recruiting Aircraft Avionic Fitters to support the UK Military Flying Training System (MFTS) H135 and H145 fleet.This is an opportunity to join one of the most established rotary aviation support programmes in the UK, supporting aircraft that play a critical role in military pilot training.
Working across both Line and Base Maintenance environments, you'll be part of a professional engineering team focused on aircraft availability, operational excellence, and safety.Whether your background is military or civilian aviation, this role offers the chance to work on modern helicopter platforms within a structured and supportive maintenance environment.The Role You will provide engineering support across the H135 and H145 fleet, carrying out avionic and electrical maintenance activities to ensure continued aircraft serviceability and operational readiness.The role combines hands-on aircraft maintenance with workshop activities and support to daily flying operations.Key Responsibilities Provide engineering support to Flight OperationsCarry out maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by Supervisors and Certifying EngineersComplete maintenance on aircraft avionic and electrical systems in accordance with approved data and OEM instructionsConduct off-aircraft workshop activities as requiredSupport aircraft movements and hangar operationsMaintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and complianceAssist with day-to-day hangar activities and housekeeping responsibilitiesSupport achievement of fleet availability targetsRequirements Essential:Aircraft Maintenance Apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualificationExperience of Aircraft Base MaintenanceExperience supporting Flight Operations and Line MaintenanceThorough knowledge of aircraft electrical and avionic systemsExperience using specialist avionic test equipmentDesirable:H135 experienceMilitary aviation experienceKnowledge of UK MFTS operationsUnderstanding of Part 145 and Part M regulationsPrevious rotary-wing maintenance experienceThe Setting Support of the UK Military Flying Training SystemH135 and H145 helicopter fleetMix of Line, Base, and Workshop MaintenanceProfessional rotary aviation environmentStrong focus on training, standards, and aircraft availabilityLong-term contract opportunityA skilled trade.
