The Role As a Lighting Designer, you will lead the end-to-end design and delivery of outstanding lighting solutions for high-end residential and luxury hospitality projects. Working closely with clients, architects and project teams, you will take charge of lighting projects from concept to commissioning, delivering tailored designs that combine technical precision with creative flair. You will produce detailed CAD layouts, specifications, and visualisations, while overseeing site visits, installation, and final commissioning. With the support of a back-office team, youll ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to award-winning standards. Additionally, you will: - Present concepts and progress updates to clients and design teams - Develop and grow key client accounts, identifying further project opportunities - Introduce innovative lighting concepts and technologies to enhance design leadership - Co-ordinate with offshore workers and UK freelancers to ensure smooth project delivery About You To be considered as a Lighting Designer, you will need: - A minimum of two years lighting design and control systems experience within a design practice - Experience co-ordinating offshore workers and UK freelancers - A proven track record with Rako lighting control systems - Software proficiency in systems such as Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, DIALux, SketchUp, Vectorworks, Lightwright and WYSIWYG - Design skills including hand sketching, 3D design tools, and lighting - Knowledge of different light sources, luminaire construction, optics, and lighting/dimming controls and wiring requirements - A degree (or equivalent) in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience Other organisations may call this role Lighting Project Lead, Lighting Design Manager, Lighting Design Engineer, Lighting Design Lead, or Lighting Consultant.
