Job Overview: We are seeking to recruit a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our community mental health services on a full-time or part-time basis. At LPT, you will collaborate with well-established multi-disciplinary teams both operationally and strategically to drive innovation and deliver the best care for our patients. Opportunities will be provided to pursue personal initiatives, research, specialist interests, teaching, training, management, and leadership, as well as areas of professional interest. You will receive a £40,000 recruitment and retention premium, paid over three years, in addition to your salary, along with an optional relocation package up to £8,000*.

Job Description Summary (Main duties and responsibilities)
Applications are invited from registered medical practitioners who have or are eligible for a CCT or equivalent approved indicator of training and are eligible for entry onto the Specialist Register within six months of the interview date. The post requires strategic and operational partnership with relevant stakeholders. The post holder must ensure that service users, carers, and advocates are treated with respect and dignity.
You will provide clinical leadership, develop your team, and offer expert advice to hospital and community specialists, managers, and directors to ensure excellent care and strategic development. The consultant has ongoing responsibility for patient care and departmental functioning. Liaison with GPs, hospital and community specialists, and other agencies is essential.
