The role
Position Overview
Our client are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to fabricate, assemble, and install high-quality metal products. The role will require working with various hand tools and machinery to shape metal sheets according to technical drawings.
The role is on a late shift – Monday to Wednesday 4.30pm to 2.30am – Thursday 4.30pm to 1.30am
Pay rate £16.89 per hour (inc shift allowance)
Key Responsibilities
Read Blueprints: Interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
Cut & Shape: Measure, mark, and cut metal sheets using shears, saws, or lasers.
Form Metal: Bend and shape metal using press brakes, rollers, and hammers.
Assemble Parts: Join metal pieces using welding, riveting, soldering, or adhesives.
Quality Check: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Maintain Gear: Clean and maintain fabrication machinery and hand tools daily.
Requirements & Skills
Experience: Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication or engineering
Tool Skills: Proficient with hand tools, drills, grinders, and cutting machinery.
Maths Skills: Ability to calculate accurate measurements and angles.
Physical Fitness: Capable of lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods.
Safety First: Strict adherence to workshop health and safety guidelines.
