Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting a passionate and dedicated SEN Classroom Assistant to support a child with special educational needs in a primary school in Hounslow. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone with a caring nature and a genuine desire to make a difference in a child’s educational journey.
The Role:
You will be working one-to-one with a child who requires additional support in the classroom. Your role will be to:
1. Support the child’s individual learning and development needs
2. Assist with social and emotional regulation
3. Encourage participation in classroom and school activities
4. Adapt learning tasks to suit the child’s needs
5. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
6. Provide regular feedback on progress and wellbeing
Requirements:
1. Previous experience supporting children (ideally in an SEN or school setting)
2. A calm, patient, and positive attitude
3. Strong communication and teamwork skills
4. A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the school and SEN team
5. An enhanced child-only DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
6. Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, or speech and language needs
