Butler Rose is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join a dynamic Finance team based in Callington, Cornwall. This pivotal role focuses on delivering accurate and timely financial reporting for multiple business categories within a large, well-established organisation.
The Role
As a Management Accountant, you will take ownership of financial tasks, including preparing journals, reconciliations, and comprehensive financial reporting. You will work closely with internal stakeholders such as Transactional Finance Teams, Site Finance Business Partners, and Group Senior Finance, as well as external parties like auditors and tax advisors.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading management accounting tasks for specific business units.
* Ensuring compliance with the month-end timetable.
* Preparing and posting prepayments, accruals, and payroll analysis.
* Managing intercompany recharges and creating balance sheet reconciliations.
* Preparing monthly balance sheets, P&Ls, and full accounts for business reviews.
* Supporting site teams with budgeting and year-end reporting.
* Engaging with auditors and contributing to KPI presentations.
* Mentoring Assistant Management Accountants and driving continuous improvement projects.
About You
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Qualifications: AAT Level 4 minimum, with a willingness to pursue further professional development.
* Experience: Prior experience in a similar position within a medium to large organisation.
* Skills: Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems; experience with MS Dynamics AX/365 is advantageous.
* Attributes: A collaborative mindset, adaptability, and a drive for customer-focused quality.
